Right to Pray

VBS4ever

The First Amendment protects our right to pray in public and the sacred principle that the government must never stand between people and God. The right to pray is a very important right we hold in this country. Prayer is our communication tool with the LORD, a time to quiet our souls and reflect on Redemption's hill where Jesus' blood was spilled for our ransom.

1Corinthians 1:18 - “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

1Peter 3:12 - “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”

Lord, lead us to the cross where Your love poured out! Lead us to Your heart, bring us to our knees and rid us of ourselves. We belong to You, The Word Who became flesh, Who bore our sin and death but now is risen! Thank You for the privilege of prayer; give us the wisdom to elect leaders to protect our right to pray and worship You. Today's Song - Watch/Listen: "Lead Me to the Cross" - Hillsong United
