Lord, You saw me first; You let me in when I was at my worst. The moment I heard You say my name was the first time in so long I wasn’t afraid. You are the voice that calms the storm inside me, the castle walls that stand around me. All this time my guardian was You! Jesus, You are the Light that shines in every tunnel; You were there in the past and You’ll be there tomorrow. All my life Your love was breaking through. It’s always been You!
Psalms 139:17-18 – “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” 1Samuel 16:7b - “… for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” Psalms 37:23-24 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalms 9:10 - “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
You stood with me in the fire, pulled me out of the water, carried me on Your shoulders … it was You, I know it was You! You’re my Saviour, my northern star; Your Love is now the compass of my heart! My desire is to always be right where You are! All my life Your love was breaking through … it’s always been You!
