In the beginning, God hovered over the water and broke an unbroken silence; He spoke Light into darkness. In the beginning, we were made in His image and were naked without shame until we fell for the darkness. In the beginning, there was the Word and He was God, and the Word was with God and He dwelt among us. His mercies are new every morning! John 1:1 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Genesis 1:3-4 – “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” Revelation 1:5 - “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” Lamentations 3:22-23 – “[It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.”
In the beginning was the Lamb of God; His blood was poured out for the sins of the world and there was life. We first saw His Light at the Cross, where He laid down His life, so we could receive our sight. His mercies are new every morning!
