They told me I'd never get to tell my story … too many bullet holes, it would take a miracle. These voices inside my head are like poison, trying to steal my hope, trying to silence my soul. But my story is only now beginning! The world doesn’t get to write my ending. God gave me a song and nobody else gets to sing it! I'm still here and I'm not done fighting! I found Jesus and I’m surviving! He’s my farewell to fear!
Romans 12:2 - “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Ephesians 4:22-24 – “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Romans 5:3-5 – “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Hebrews 12:2 - “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
These pieces, the ones that left me bleeding, intended for my pain, became the gift You gave me, Lord. I gathered those pieces into a mountain and my freedom is in view. I will use this gift to help others hurting the same too. With You, I'm stronger than I knew! This hill isn’t the one I die on! I'm going to lift my eyes and keep on climbing. With God on my side, I’m not only surviving, I’m thriving! John 10:10 - “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Whatever your pain – physical, emotional, spiritual – God is still in the miracle business! No more fear … He’s the God of the impossible! He loves you and wants to fight your battles for you. In Christ, the spiritual battle has already been won! There’s victory in Jesus! Put on the armour of God. Calvary’s Cross is our sound of survival.
