I watched a documentary recently where the narrator said something simple but true: “We all need to feel loved.” Indeed, one of the most basic and fundamental human needs is to feel loved and nurtured. However, just as strong, I believe, is our need to love and nurture others. Expressing love for others benefits the giver just as much as the recipient. It makes us feel good to do something for others.
We’re all in this boat of life together … and we’re all sinners in need of a Saviour.
Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
It’s easy to look at the lives of others and make judgments as to their happiness, their financial status, their family life, their health … but things aren’t always what they may seem. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.
Almost everyone is struggling with something and everyone needs to feel accepted and loved.
Today’s song is a reminder that we all fall short, but God Loves us anyway.

God commands us to love one another so the world will know that we are His disciples. John 13:34-35 – “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
You may never know what one small act of kindness might do to brighten someone’s day or even impact their life. Share the love of God … pay for the person’s order who is behind you in line; bring your elderly neighbor’s trash can in from the curb; write something nice on a sticky note and leave it for a co-worker; praise a parent you see doing a good job; mail a get-well card to a sick friend; pay for a military officer’s meal … whatever you do, give all the glory to Jesus as you share His Love with others!
