Christ-follower, put your dancin’ shoes on because someday soon we’ll be cloud-steppin’ instead of two-steppin’ or fox-trottin’!
One of these days, we’re gonna take our final journey and go home! Those in Christ will rise to meet Him in the air! Stepping on the clouds, He'll greet us and oh, the joy we'll share!
1Thessalonians 4:16-17 - "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
The ‘rapture’ is not to be confused with the 'Second Coming’. The word ‘rapture’ is not in the Bible but means ‘carrying off’ or ‘snatching away’. The pre-tribulation rapture, which could occur at any moment, is the ‘blessed hope’ where Jesus will meet the saints in the clouds (not descend to earth). The Second Coming is a day to be greatly feared. It is when Jesus will descend to the Mount of Olives (as a prelude to His earthly reign) and bring judgment for those who have rejected Him.
