Perspective. It’s all in the way we look at things. Is the glass half-empty or half-full? In a world full of darkness, we’ve got to keep looking for the Light.
Miracles. Do they still exist? Are you aware of the many miracles around you each day?
Jesus is alive! Salvation! God's Preserved Word in the King James Bible! Family. Health. Nature. Laughter. Music. Friendship. Birth. Life. Seasons. Music. Kindness ...
Prayer. God gives us the privilege of communicating with Him through prayer. Philippians 4:6 tell us to “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” James 4:2 says, “... ye have not, because ye ask not.”
Today’s song is about counting blessings. One of the best ways to count blessings is to recognize answered prayer. Keep a Prayer Journal and simply jot down in a notebook who and what you are praying for. Date each item. Leave a space by each item so you can write how God answered. Periodically review your journal and make notes of how God answered. Then … count your blessings! Count them one-by-one and see what God has done! Sometimes the answer will not come for years (His timing is perfect). Other times He answers in a way you never thought possible!
Take a look at these powerful lyrics:
"It's like it was yesterday. I was a praying for a miracle, scared to have a little hope. And now looking back today, seeing all the things You've done, I can't even add them up! One, two, three … Up to infinity! I'd run out of numbers before I could thank You for everything! God, I'm still counting my blessings, all that You've done in my life. The more that I look in the details, the more of Your goodness I find.
Father, on this side of Heaven, I know that I'll run out of time, but I will keep counting my blessings, knowing I can't count that high! And I know the seasons never last forever, so God, I will remember all of the reasons my heart has to be grateful, all the times You've been faithful to me."
Hope. What are you hoping for? Who is your Hope? Romans 15:13 - “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Thankfulness. Do you take things for granted? or are you thankful for what you’ve been blessed with? What if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you thanked God for yesterday? Read Philippians 4:6
