If I could talk to myself eight years ago, seeing what I've seen and knowing what I know, I would tell that quiet kid that there'll be days ahead when it doesn't make sense; I would tell him he can trust You, Lord; that there’s a greater plan. I couldn't see it then, but now I understand that God has been with me every step of the way.

I never thought that I'd be standing in the place I'm in. It took a little faith to see that I was created for a purpose; that I had to chase the dream that God placed in me. I never thought I’d be praying the prayers or saying the things I say! But trusting Him gives me freedom, and it’s comforting to know that He’s with me every step of the way.
