Get high? No, we haven’t gone crazy … there’s more than one way to “get high!”
Get high on Scripture, not substances ... or anything of this world!
God’s true Word in the King James Bible was preserved for the English-speaking people, just as God promised.
Psalms 12:7 - “Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
Psalms 119:89 - “LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
Isaiah 40:8 - “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Matthew 24:35 - “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (NOTE: THESE EXACT WORDS ARE REPEATED IN Mark 13:31 and Luke 21:33. When God repeats Himself, it is IMPORTANT--PAY ATTENTION!)
We grow closer to God through His Word, so it is important to be reading His true Word and not a modern version of it. The Bible does not read like any other book because it is God’s Book! It is holy, which means “set apart.” It is set apart from all other Books. The writing style should not be like the easy-to-read, modern books written by man. Almighty God is the author of the Bible; He warns man not to change any of the words. (2Tim. 3:16)
Revelation 22:18-19 - "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book." (See also Proverbs 30:6, Deuteronomy 4:2)
God is not changeable; He has declared the truth and given it to us. We cannot allow doubts and questions of others to shake our confidence in what God has said—which is exactly what the modern ‘bible’ versions do. (satan is the author of confusion.)
A.W. Tozer wrote, “We have gotten accustomed to the blurred puffs of gray fog that pass for doctrine in churches and expect nothing better. Little by little Christians these days are being brainwashed. One evidence is that increasing numbers of them are becoming ashamed to be found unequivocally on the side of truth. They say they believe, but their beliefs have been so diluted as to be impossible of clear definition. Moral power has always accompanied definite beliefs. Great saints have always been dogmatic. We need a return to a gentle dogmatism that smiles while it stands stubborn and firm on the Word of God that lives and abides forever.”Before you begin reading the Bible, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you. If you don’t understand something, don’t worry – God will show you when you are ready. Keep reading and you will discover He will show you something new. It is the Living Word!
1Corinthians 6:20 - “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” Psalms 86:12 – “I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.”
Glorify God and get “high” on His Word! Learn it ~ Love it ~ Live it!
Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
All of mankind was created to glorify God. The question is, will you be glorifying Him from Heaven or from hell?
