Ask anyone, “What will heaven be like?” and you’ll get a variety of answers. Of course, God, Jesus and the angels will be there. But the most important question is, “Will YOU be there?”

The Book of Revelation tells us the walls of heaven will be of jasper and garnished with precious stones; the foundations of the walls were layers of precious stones; and the city and streets will be pure gold, like clear glass. There will be twelve gates, each made of one pearl. Imagine the beauty!
In heaven, there will be no tears, death, pain or sorrow. Revelation 21:23 says the heavenly city had “... no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.” As beautiful as it sounds, the very best thing about heaven is that our LORD and Saviour will be there!
Hell and the lake of fire, on the other hand, is a pit of death and destruction, with a fire that shall never be quenched (Mark 9:43). It is a place of eternal torment, with wailing and gnashing of teeth … and the knowledge that you had the opportunity to be with our LORD for eternity but opted out … and will never be with the LORD.
Matthew 13:49-50 - "So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

This world is our temporary home. One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Right now, we are to do the will of God (Hebrews 10:36) and should be looking forward to going to our heavenly home.
Matthew 6:19-21 – “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
If your heart isn’t for God, it is for the adversary. Where are you laying up your treasures?
