I was like a blind man on a road that led nowhere; just an empty-hearted sinner in desperate need of help. I was poor in spirit, but Jesus was rich in love! I was down to nothin' when He came to rescue me. Jesus is the reason that I live! He is my only need.
Psalms 34:4 - “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
2Samuel 22:17-20 – “He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters; 18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, [and] from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me. 19 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. 20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.” John 15:4-5 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
Like a wave without a seashore or a kingdom with no king, without Jesus in my life, I wouldn't be complete. From the moment I cried out to Him to heal my troubled soul, He welcomed me with open arms and said, “All that's mine is yours.” I know I couldn't make it through each day without Jesus in my life.
