Run to the Father

I've carried a burden for too long on my own; I wasn't created to bear it alone. Lord, I hear Your invitation to let it all go; I see it now! I'm laying it down and I know that I need You. I run to the Father, I fall into grace, I'm done with the hiding, no reason to wait. My heart needs a surgeon, my soul needs a friend, so I'll run to the Father again and again! Psalms 55:22 - “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” John 6:37 - “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” Deuteronomy 33:27 - “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.”

God saw my condition, had a plan from the start: His Son for redemption, the price for my heart. I don't have a context for that kind of love! I don't understand, I can't comprehend, all I know is I need Him! My heart was in His sights long before my first breath. Running into His arms is running to life from death. His mercy calls out … and I run to the Father. Today’s Song – Watch/Listen: “Run to the Father” – Artists: Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe/Light of the World
