God spoke a word and life began; He told oceans where to start and where to end; He set in motion time and space, but still He knows my name. (Read the Creation verses here) If God can hold the stars in place, He can hold my heart the same, whenever I fall away or start to break. So here I am, lifting up my heart to the God Who holds the stars. The deepest depths, the darkest nights can't separate me from His Love.
Psalms 8:1, 3 – “… O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;” Job 22:12 - "Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!” Psalms 147:4 - “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.” Psalms 107:29 - “He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” Exodus 3:14a – “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: …” Hebrews 5:9 - “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” Revelation 22:16 – “I Jesus … am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” Psalms 33:6 - “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”
If my Lord can calm the raging sea, He can calm the storm in me. He’s never too far away; He never shows up too late. What do I have to fear? So here I am, lifting up my heart to Jesus, the Great I AM and author of eternal salvation … the bright and morning star … Who breathed the stars into existence! Dear reader, let this sink in ---- if you are a true Christian, you serve a star-breathing God! Today’s Song – Watch/Listen: “Stars” – Artists: Skillet
