TEN THOUSAND REASONS

Ask people if they believe in God and many will tell you “Yes, I believe in God.” But there's a difference between an intellectual belief that God exists and believing in Who Almighty God is AND what He has done for us. Ask people if they are saved and many will say, “Yes,” yet they have no concept of God’s plan of salvation or the sacrifice that Jesus paid to offer them His gift of salvation.
Many think that all are saved because Jesus died for everyone. He did die for all, but there's more to it than that. Listen up --
It is not enough to 'believe in God' (the devil believes in God!). The Bible tells us that 'believing in God' means you have faith and believe Almighty God (God the Father) humbled Himself and came to earth as a man (Jesus Christ/God the Son), that He died for the sins of mankind and rose again the third day to defeat death and hell.
Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Salvation is by God's grace alone and in order to go to heaven, we must each accept Jesus' salvation gift by repenting and confessing our sin and admitting that what we truly deserve is hell! It is not merely an intellectual understanding, it's a heart belief and confession. It is spiritual birth.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast."
When a person accepts Christ's gift of salvation, they are no longer destined for hell but become spiritually born and a child of God ... joint heirs with Christ!
Romans 8:17 - “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Don’t underestimate the significance of what Jesus Christ did for us! God emptied Himself of His glory to become a humble man (Philippians 2:6-8) and die in our place. But until the gift is accepted through spiritual birth, one cannot enter heaven because God cannot be near sin.
There are ten thousand times ten thousand … and more … reasons to love Jesus and be thankful for His sacrifice! When Jesus comes to live in your heart, you will know it! You might not remember the exact day nor hour, but you'll want to tell the whole world! You'll want to share your salvation testimony with others … tell them what Jesus has done for you and how He has changed your life! If you can’t or won’t share your testimony, chances are it is because you don’t have one. When Jesus becomes your personal Saviour it is not a personal story … because IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU, IT'S ABOUT HIM!
Your salvation should give you a burning desire to tell others about His saving grace so they won’t spend eternity in hell! In fact, God commands us to go and tell -- Mark 16:15 - “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
