Tomorrow is “Thanksgiving Day”, a day set aside to give thanks to God with a grateful heart. No, it’s not about the food, football or even family. It's about giving thanks to the Holy One ... every day … because He's given us the greatest gift we could ever imagine -- Jesus Christ, His Son. Have you accepted His gift of salvation?
1Corinthians 15:57 - “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2Corinthians 12:10 - “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2Corinthians 6:10 - “As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”
With Christ, the weak can say, "I am strong"; the poor can say, "I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us." Our God is so good, all of the time, and deserves our heartfelt thanks.
