There are so many ways to describe our Lord and so many names … beautiful names of Jesus Christ, our King!
John 1:1 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Messiah, Emmanuel, The Word, Alpha and Omega, Creator, Deliverer …
God didn't want heaven without us so He brought ‘heaven’ down! Matthew 1:23b - “… and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Philippians 2:9 – “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:”
Our sin was great, His Love was greater! 2Thessalonians 1:12 - “That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Raised to life again, He has no equal. Our God reigns! His is the name above all names, and what a powerful name it is!
