I know you and I aren’t the fairytale you dreamed we'd be. We walked the aisle, joined hands and dove into a mystery. How I wish we could go back to simpler times, before all our scars and secrets. Now on this hallowed ground, we've drawn the battle lines. Will we make it through the night? Can’t we just be broken together? It's gonna take much more than promises this time. Only God can change our minds. Genesis 2:24 - “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Ephesians 5:24 – “Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.” Hebrews 13:4 - “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Proverbs 18:22 - “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.” Psalms 147:3 - “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
You and I were meant to be complete, as one, but we were busy chasing dreams and left love behind. If you bring your shattered dreams and I'll bring mine, God can still bring healing. I'm praying He will help our broken hearts align and we won't give up the fight. The only way we'll last forever is broken together, with God as the head of our trinity. Marriage takes three! (PDF)
Your first relationship must be with God, then everything else falls into place. Don't let satan destroy what God has given you! Is God #1 in your life? Matthew 6:33 - “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
