On January 20, 1961, in his inaugural address, John F. Kennedy spoke what is now the famous phrase, "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country." This call to action emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and public service, encouraging citizens to make positive contributions to their nation.

Another political prodigy, Charlie Kirk, an unapologetic Christian, spoke what is now a similar famous phrase, "I'm far more interested in what God wants from me than what I want from God." Ask yourself: Do I live my life with this mindset? Do I serve God out of love and because of everything He has already done for me, or do I serve Him out of "obligation" or expecting something even more in return?

While no man compares to Jesus Christ, it is encouraging, inspiring and edifying when someone stands up for the gospel message and influences others to do the same.

Isaiah 40:18 - “To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?”

At just 18 years of age, Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA, a conservative organization aimed at mobilizing young adults across the United States to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government. He also founded Turning Point Action and Turning Point Faith.

On September 10, 2025 at the young of age 31, Charlie was assassinated at Utah Valley University while speaking to a group of students.

One year ago, many people hadn't even heard the name "Charlie Kirk." Many today still do not understand the impact this Christian martyr's faith in God influenced Kirk's life. For instance, his opposition to abortion; opposition to unbiblical policies for those struggling spiritually, and his skepticism of diversity-equity-inclusion initiatives. Charlie Kirk stood for biblical standards and personal responsibility.

Charlie believed and fought for limited government, free markets, and freedom. His faith convictions helped shape both policy and narratives—for example, calling cultural disputes what they are: spiritual battles; as well as urging Christians to take public action in restoring biblical norms in institutions, and putting "America First."

To give you an idea of the man, here are a few key quotes from Charlie Kirk:

Faith and Belief

The Role of Jesus

  • “Jesus Christ was God in human flesh. Who first and foremost taught us how to live and secondly and most importantly He was a gift to us; that if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior then we can have eternal life.” (John 1:14, Ephesians 2:8)

  • “I mean, I’m nothing without Jesus. I’m a sinner. I fall incredibly short of the glory of God. We all do.” (John 15:5, Romans 3:23)

Encouragement for Others

  • “You have to try to point them toward ultimate purposes and toward getting back to the church, getting back to faith, getting married, having children. That is the type of conservatism that I represent.” (Matthew 11:28, Isaiah 55:7)

  • “We as Christians have hope that we are going to see our loved ones again and that we will be in heaven and that we will be in perfect peace and that this is not it.” (Psalm 33:18, Isaiah 26:3)

These quotes reflect Charlie Kirk's strong Christian beliefs and his commitment to sharing his faith with others. Charlie believed America’s future depended on raising up a generation who would never surrender to the earthly worldview. His vision continues ... prayers are rising, students are rallying, support and volunteers are flooding in, and vigils are filling churches and schools across the nation.

Christian, let's keep the fire God lit in Charlie burning bright. It's the only way to win these spiritual battles.
