Fires

God tells us in His Word that life may not be easy but He’s already given us all that we need. We can trust Him completely, and He’s already proven that He’ll fight for us … He’s walked us through fires, pulled us from the flames. He’s in the battle with us so we don’t have to be afraid.
John 16:33 - “… that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Psalms 91:2 - “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Philippians 4:13, 19 - “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Matthew 28:20b – “… and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
When the smoke billows higher, and I can barely breathe, I’ll walk through these fires because Jesus is walking with me. I’m changed by His mercy, covered by His peace, I’m living out the victory but it doesn’t mean I won’t feel the heat. I can face anything because Jesus is with me; I can do all things because He strengthens me.
