Let Me Tell You ‘Bout My Jesus

Updated: Mar 26, 2022

Are you one of those “C&E Christians”? You dress up nice and make your way into the church building on Christmas and Easter? You toss a buck or two in the offering plate because you feel guilty (that’s all they really want is your money, right?). But you leave feeling pretty good! and you vow to make it back again next year.

Or maybe you’re a “shelf Christian” … you attend church service fairly regularly because that’s what you’re ‘supposed to do’ on Sunday; but at home, you place Jesus up on a nice shelf in the family room, dust Him off every once in awhile and keep Him within reach in case you need to grab Him in an emergency.

Isn’t that how the ‘Jesus thing’ really works?

NOPE!

Psalms 55:22 - “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Isaiah 41:10 - “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Let me tell you ’bout my Jesus! He makes a way where there ain’t no way, rises up from an empty grave. There ain’t no sinner that He can’t save. His love is strong and His grace is free! The good news is I know that He can do for you what He’s done for me. Let me tell you ’bout my Jesus and let my Jesus change your life! He can wipe away the tears from broken dreams and wasted years and tell the past to disappear. All the wrong turns that you took and would undo if you could, He can work it all for your good. He makes a way where it seems there ain’t no way! He took my cross to Calvary, paid the price for all my guilty. He cares that much about me! You too … Hallelujah! Let my Jesus change your life!

Revelation 21:4 - “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: …” Romans 8:31 - “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Jesus isn’t someone you call on only when you need Him. Maybe you’re casting Him aside because you’re scared you’ll have to give up something that you know is wrong, sinful? You might not see it now, but Jesus is better than any of your sin!

What if the next time you really need Him, out of desperation you call on Him and He answers, “Sorry, it’s not Christmas or Easter yet. Ask me then.” Fortunately, that’s not His style. But He does want us to live for Him so we can experience the joy of His glory!

When you trust Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you experience spiritual birth and begin a personal relationship with Him. He is 'My Jesus' to everyone who becomes His child! Watch today’s powerful video about a young girl learning 'bout Jesus.
