You are Loved by Almighty God! Psalms 144:15b – “… yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.”
Now ... add joy to your happiness! ‘Joy’ is lasting, and endures no matter our circumstances. It’s being content; it’s that deep inner peace that’s undisturbed by trials, success or unpleasant circumstances. Consider James 1:2, where Paul says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;” He continues in James 1:3-4 to explain that even if we’re going through a trial, to count it joy because God is teaching and perfecting us.
How do you find joy? Get to know God through His Word. Isaiah 12:2-3 beautifully declares: “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. 3Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” Jesus encourages His followers to seek God by making our requests and desires known to Him. If we sincerely seek the will of God, we will experience the intense joy of faith (John 16:22).
Love personified has a name … Jesus.
