I've heard all the stories, seen all the signs, witnessed all the “glory” the world has to offer, tasted all that's fine … and still, nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord! I see all the people wasting all their time, building up their riches for a life that's fine. I find myself just living for today 'cause I don't know what tomorrow's gonna bring. But no matter if I rise or fall, I'll never be alone. My God is with me wherever I go.
Jeremiah 10:6 - “Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.” 1Samuel 2:2 - “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” John 16:32 - “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” 1Corinthians 13:13 - “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” Galatians 2:20 - “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Luke 9:23 - “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Mark 8:35 - “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.” Psalms 24:10 - “Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”
This generation, more than any other, is all about ME, all about SELF. Where along the way did we lose compassion, respect, dignity, forgiveness, truth, honour, empathy and most of all, charity (which means Love)? To serve God to the fullest, we must die to self. We are nothing, we are but worms, and to dust our bodies will return. The world doesn’t revolve around us. Let's quit pointing fingers at other “Christians” and work on our own personal witness and relationship with the Lord. We need to get over ourselves and look to the God Who is above all, knows all and Loves unconditionally. Nothing compares to the King of Glory!
