O Come, All You Unfaithful

The well-known Christmas hymn, “O Come, All Ye Faithful” is the biblical story of the birth of Christ, where the shepherds, after hearing the angels singing, go to Bethlehem to adore the new-born Saviour. Today’s video and song is similarly titled but the message is very different in that it’s a reminder that humans are not perfect; that believers aren’t always faithful followers and in fact, we are all sinners in need of a Saviour. For that reason and more, we come together as the Body of Christ to worship and adore our Saviour and thank Him for the loving sacrifice He made on the Cross for our salvation.

John 1:29 - “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Luke 16:10a - “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much …” 2Timothy 2:10 – “Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” 1John 4:14 - “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

Lyrics: O come, all you unfaithful. Come, weak and unstable; Come, know you are not alone. O come, barren and waiting ones; weary of praying, come see what your God has done! Christ is born, Christ is born, Christ is born for you! O come, bitter and broken; come with fears unspoken; Come, taste of His perfect Love! O come, guilty and hiding ones, there is no need to run! See what your God has done! He's the Lamb Who was given, slain for our pardon. His promise is peace for those who believe. So come, though you have nothing; come, He is the offering! Come, see what your God has done! Christ is born for you!

Jesus is the Lamb Who brings peace to a broken and fallen world. Christ was born so that we might truly live!
