Pray for our Leaders
Today is Presidents’ Day, a day set aside to celebrate all U.S. Presidents and a time of patriotic celebration and remembrance. Pray for our leaders and true patriots of this country; ask God to give them wisdom and knowledge. Pray for safety for our military men and women and their families. Pray that anyone who doesn’t have the best interests for our country be removed from office and ask God to give strength to those who fight for our Constitution.
Take time to reflect on past Presidents who shaped our country by looking to God for guidance and then vote to elect true Christians in government. Remember that good or bad, we are to pray for all our leaders. God is, and always has been, in control. Keep in touch with your Senators, Congress and local representatives (see below). We have and should exercise the freedom to let our voices be heard ... they work for us, We The People. The United States of America is one nation under God, and because of God is still the best nation in the world!
1Corinthians 12:27-28 – “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” 1Timothy 2:1-2 – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
