Lord, I come before You today and there's just one thing that I want to say: “Thank You!” Thank You for all You've given to me, for all the blessings that I cannot see. With a grateful heart, with a song of praise, with an outstretched arm I will bless Your name! Thanks for all You've done in my life. You took my darkness and gave me Your Light. You took my sin and my shame and I will forever praise Your name! Thank You, Lord!
Psalms 75:1 - “… Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” 2Corinthians 9:15 - “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” 1Corinthians 15:57 - “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Psalms 119:62 - “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.” 1Thessalonians 5:18 - “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
When is the last time you thanked God for all He has done for you? When you pray, do you hurriedly go through your list and ask God to bless so-and-so and heal so-and-so and the prayer is more about your wants and needs instead of thanking the Creator of the universe for His goodness, His mercy, His abundance, His provision, His Love, His Word, His gift of salvation? Why not stop and take just a few minutes and thank God for all He is, all He’s done and for all that is to come?
