The Hope of Glory

Hope: to cherish a desire with anticipation: to want something to happen or be true (according to Merriam-Webster). The word ‘hope’ appears in the Bible over 120 times. Christ-followers are saved by hope (according to God’s Word). Romans 8:24 - “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”

In Christ alone my Hope is found! He is my Light, my Strength, my Song.

What about you? Where do you find hope?

Christ, Who took on flesh, the fullness of God in helpless babe. Yet this sacrificial gift of love and righteousness was scorned by the very ones He came to save.

Colossians 2:8-9“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

Christ-followers, we are bought with the precious blood of our Saviour. Nothing can ever pluck us from His hand until He returns or calls us home.

Colossians 1:27 - “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

Stand in the power of Jesus Christ, our Hope!
