The development of artificial intelligence (“AI”) has been years in the making. Artificial intelligence is, in a nutshell, the ability of a computer or robot to perform tasks commonly associated with human beings, such as the ability to speak, reason, discover meaning, and so forth.
There is, however, a big difference between intelligence and wisdom.
Intelligence refers to the ability to learn, reason, and solve problems. Wisdom involves applying knowledge and experience to make sound judgments and decisions. In other words, intelligence is about knowing facts, whereas wisdom is about understanding how to effectively use those facts.
True wisdom is a gift from God to those who ask it.
James 1:5 - “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Solomon is considered the wisest man to have ever lived, and that’s because when God told him “Ask what I shall give thee,” Solomon asked God for a discerning and understanding heart to rule the people of his kingdom. God was pleased that Solomon didn’t selfishly ask for a long life or riches, so He gave him not only wisdom, but also riches and honour above all others.
It is essential for us to seek wisdom from God for all things, including the advancements of artificial intelligence. God’s Word reveals the importance of wisdom in our decision-making, particularly as we incorporate technology into our lives. We must be diligent in seeking guidance from Scripture in order to use technology responsibly and ethically.
Proverbs 16:22 - “Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.”
Folly = lack of good sense, foolish behavior, act, or idea.
Human wisdom is folly, and is unable to find or retain the knowledge of God as the Creator.
We need spiritual discernment through the Holy Ghost to compare spiritual things with spiritual. It is through spiritual birth (salvation) whereby we receive the Spirit of God –
the ultimate AI -- “Alpha Intelligence.”
1Corinthians 2:13-14 – “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
“Those who receive the gospel, and are enlightened by the Spirit of God, see more of God's wisdom and power in the doctrine of Christ crucified, than in all his other works.” ~ Matthew Henry Romans 8:9-10 – “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
Revelation 21:6a - “…I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end ...”
Choose Alpha Intelligence over Artificial Intelligence
