I’ve got just one question for you: “What are you going to do with Jesus?” That’s it. We’ve got all kinds of debates popping up all over the red states and blue states in this great country of ours; intelligent design, evolution, what are you going to do with Jack Bauer … but that’s the art of misdirection, my friend … enough to knock you off the main question. Because the main question is: “What are you going to do with Jesus?”
Come on, you can’t deny the fact that Jesus is the central character of the biggest-selling, furthest-reaching, life-changing, most inspirational, controversial and scandalous Book of all time, right? He’s the Guy that says He’s the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He’s the Son of God and God at the same time! He’s the Creator, the Sustainer, the Word, the Bread of Life and Lamb of God … all of those together. He’s the Redeemer and Bearer of our sin; there are endless titles about Him!
The point is, these aren’t just nicknames his mommy gave Him when she was sewing Him a tunic for temple time, okay? You’ve got to do something with a Guy like this, right? What He said, what He taught … everybody’s in this game and there ain’t no bench-warmers. He’s the most talked-about, preached-about, debated-about, lied-about and thought-about man in history. It’s time to make a choice. If you think He doesn’t change lives, you haven’t met Him. He’s the way, the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father without Him. If you think about it, it all sounds ludicrous … unless it’s true.
