A simple word search in the Bible can bring about many lessons. The word "amber" appears in the Bible three times -- twice in Ezekiel Chapter 1 and once in Ezekiel Chapter 8. Much of Christ is found in the Book of Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 1:4 - “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.”

The search for the word "amber" brought Ezekiel's vision describing the likeness of the living creatures coming out of the midst of the fire and angels deriving their being and power from God. The prophet Ezekiel so beautifully describes the revelation of the Son of man upon His heavenly throne and his vision of God and of the angelic host. "Brightness" and "fire" are associated with the colour "amber."
Bible Scholar Matthew Henry explains -- "Ezekiel was one of the priests; he was carried captive to Chaldea with Jehoiachin. All his prophecies appear to have been delivered in that country, at some place north of Babylon. Their chief object appears to have been to comfort his brethren in captivity. He is directed to warn of the dreadful calamities coming upon Judea, particularly upon the false prophets, and the neighbouring nations. Also to announce the future restoration of Israel and Judah from their several dispersions, and their happy state in their latter days, under the Messiah. "
Henry explains further, "It is a mercy to have the word of God brought to us, and a duty to attend to it diligently, when we are in affliction. The voice of God came in the fulness of light and power, by the Holy Spirit. These visions seem to have been sent to possess the prophet's mind with great and high thoughts of God. To strike terror upon sinners. To speak comfort to those that feared God, and humbled themselves."If you didn't play the song, consider playing it now. The lyrics are so true ... "I remember how You told me that life may not be easy, and everything that I need You've already given me. I remember how You told me I can trust You completely, so why am I doubting when You proved that You'd fight for me? You've walked me through fires, pulled me from flames; if You're in this with me, I won't be afraid. When the smoke billows higher, oh and higher, and it feels like I can barely breathe, I'll walk through these fires 'cause You're walking with me. I'm changed by Your mercy, covered by Your peace; I'm living out the victory, doesn't mean I won't feel the heat. I can face anything 'cause You're here with me; I can do all things, 'cause You strengthen me. I remember how You showed me the price of my redemption. Lord, how could I question when You proved that You'd die for me?"Words are important. Every word of God is pure.
Proverbs 30:5 - “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”
The Holy Spirit teaches us through God's Word. Just as the angels' wings took them wherever God's Spirit would have them go, His Spirit will guide us where He would have us to go -- into all truth -- the truth of His Word.
John 16:13 - “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: ..."

"Amber" is not only a beautiful name, but is associated with "brightness" (symbolizing God's holiness and glory) and "fire" (symbolizing God's presence, power and judgment) in the Bible.
