Even Then

On the nights when the dark lasts a little bit longer, and the storm is a little bit stronger; when the fear in my heart dips a little bit deeper and my faith gets a little bit weaker … where could I run to? where could I go? Even when it feels like my world is shaken and I've had all that I can take, I know my Lord will never let me go. Even when the waters won't stop rising, I know no matter how it ends, Jesus is with me even then.

Psalms 139:7-10 – “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalms 62:5 - “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Romans 8:31 - “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Psalms 42:8 - “Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.” John 16:33 - “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

In the middle of a struggle, Jesus is my defense. Even in the thick of the battle and through the valley of the shadows, I stand on His promises. I'm reminded that His grace never asks for perfection. I'm restored because I'm His and I stand forgiven. No matter how it ends, He’s with me … even then!
