I was buried beneath my shame. Who could carry that kind of weight? It was my tomb until I met You, Lord. I was breathing but not alive; all my failures I tried to hide. I needed rescue, my sin was heavy … but chains break at the weight of Your glory! You called my name and I ran out of that grave, out of the darkness and into Your glorious day! Isaiah 9:2 - “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.” Romans 8:21 - “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Romans 8:39 - “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 2Corinthians 5:17 - “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Titus 3:5a - “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us ..." I needed shelter, I was an orphan … now You call me citizen of heaven! I needed rescue, my sin was heavy … but chains break at the weight of Your glory! When I was broken, You were my healing. Your Love is the air that I'm breathing. Now I have a future and my eyes are open. Your mercy and grace saved my soul! Your freedom is all I know. The old man was made new, Jesus, when I met You. O glorious day! Let this song bring you joy today :) Sing to the LORD with all your heart!
