It has been said that Christians long ago were brought before a tyrant's throne and told that their lives would be spared if they would renounce the name of Christ. One by one they chose to die, the Son of God they wouldn't deny! That same persecution is still happening today. Christian, seek to honor God's commands and pledge allegiance to the Lamb!
Matthew 10:33 - “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
Romans 13:11-14 - "And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof]."
Unlike those who profess to know God, but in works they deny Him (Titus 1:16), we must count the cost, reject this world, and embrace the Cross. Let's live our lives for the One who died to give us life. Until the trumpet sounds on the final day, let's proudly stand and boldly say, "I pledge allegiance to the Lamb, with all my strength, with all I am. I will seek to honor His commands, I pledge allegiance to the Lamb!"
