Ever feel scared, helpless, like everything is spinning out of control? Deserts grow cold, rivers run dry; we give up on each other without thinking twice. Hope gets lost and we can't see the dawn. Lord Jesus, when the storm just won't let up, please give us the faith to carry on. Keep our eyes toward the sky and send down an army of angels to keep us strong and unafraid. God, please protect us and keep us safe! Exodus 14:13-14 – “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” 2Kings 20:5 - “… Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee …” Romans 8:15-18 – “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
We walk a thousand steps in the wrong direction, broken and bruised, wearing tattered shoes and asking God a thousand questions. But we go on trying and through the struggles and the troubles, we don't have to walk alone. Accept God’s gift of salvation, and you become His child and heir! Walk with Him and thank Him for His blessings each day… and for keeping you safe.
