Have you been trying to do things on your own, looking for your purpose in this world? Are you holding on to what the world has to offer and feeling empty? Friend, you were created with a purpose! John 15:8 - “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
What is fruit? It’s people who are saved as a result of us speaking the truth of the gospel into others; it’s possessing the character qualities described in Galatians 5:22-23; it’s when we increase in the knowledge of God and walk worthy of Him (Colossians 1:10).
John 15:5 - “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. The life that we receive from Christ through spiritual birth is for one purpose: so that our life might bring forth fruit from the vine. Apart from a fruitful life, one loses their purpose.
How much fruit is your life producing?
Newly saved or saved for years, let the new life Christ has offered you glorify God. Let the old life crumble, l-e-t i-t f-a-d-e.
