Little boy, six years old, a little too used to being alone. Another new mom and dad, another school, another house that'll never be home. When people ask him how he likes this place, he looks up and says with a smile upon his face, "This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong. These are just windows and rooms that I'm passing through; it’s just a stop on the way to where I'm going. I'm not afraid because I know this is my temporary home." Philippians 3:17-21 – “Brethren, be followers together of me ... 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body ...”
This world is just our temporary home. We’re just passing through. It’s just a stop on the way to where we’re going. Are you going to spend eternity with God? or in the lake of fire, with wailing and gnashing of teeth? Salvation from hell is a decision that must be made before leaving this earth. Today is the day … give your life to Jesus. After all, He gave His life for you!
“Conversation” in Verse 20 above means “address”. If you are spiritually born again, your address is in heaven!
