The Best is Yet to Come
God’s Word tells us to run this worldly race with patience, and that He will be there for us when we fall or lose hope. He says He’ll give us courage, and to press on because we’re not running alone. But some days are harder than others, and sometimes when those trying days pile on one after another, hope starts fading away. But wait, my friend! We are in a spiritual battle and satan is doing his best to keep us down; he wants to win … and even if he can’t win our soul (if we’re already saved), he can keep us from growing in the faith or from witnessing and sharing our faith with others. So press on, fight the fight! Don’t let satan get the best of you! God is bigger than any of our problems. He keeps His promises … and yes, oh yes, the best is yet to come! 1Corinthians 2:9 - “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
Romans 8:18 - “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” John 14:2-3 - "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Song Lyrics: The race is long, sometimes I stumble. He helps me up each time I fall. When I lose hope He gives me courage, so I'll press on and give my all 'cause I know I never have to run alone, and I can hardly wait to make it home. The best is yet to come, the promise of heaven awaits! I'll finally see my Lord and Saviour face-to-face; for He has set me free for all eternity! When my life on earth is done, the best is yet to come! In every joy, in every trial, I need to keep my eyes on Him. He is the way, my sole(soul) provider, no matter how the road may bend. When earthly treasures cloud my point of view, He reminds me that I'm only passing through. Nothing can compare with what's in store, when we join with the angels singing, “Holy is the Lord!” Yes, the best is yet to come!
The battle has already been won! What God has in store for born-again believers is unmatched by the traps and snares our enemy lays in front of us daily. The best is yet to come!
