THE POWER OF ONE

The word "one" appears in the Bible 1,697 times. On the numeral scale, ONE is very small but the number "ONE" holds very big meaning in the Bible.

ONE obedient heart can change the course of generations.

Noah was a just man and walked with God. His obedience preserved humanity.

Genesis 6:8 - “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”

Through ONE man's belief (Abraham's), a covenant was born that would bless all nations.

Romans 4:3 - “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.”

Through Joseph, ONE life yielded to God brought deliverance.

Genesis 50:20 - “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

Through Moses, ONE voice, empowered by God, challenged empires.

Exodus 3:10-12 - "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain."

Through ONE young queen's courage, Esther's faith rescued a nation.

Esther 4:14 - “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

ONE young shepherd boy named David had the faith to face the giant Goliath and defeated him with ONE stone.

The power of ONE ... through the power of GOD.

Ephesians 4:4-6 - "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

If you have been spiritually born, Christ lives in you and you are a child of the Father of all! Meditate on that thought -- when you are saved, the Most High God, the Creator of All, loves you and lives in you! All of His children are members of one body in Christ.

Romans 12:5 - “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”

ONE person can make a difference in this world. Consider the difference for Christ that Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Charlie Kirk made ... you can make a difference too. We are commanded to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. ONE person's obedience can change many lives ... both now and for eternity.
