We Remember

Twenty-one years ago today, September 11, 2001, our beautiful country was attacked by Islamic terrorists, the deadliest terrorist attack in human history. It's a tragedy we should never forget. In fact, if you ask most people where they were or what they were doing that fateful day, they remember well.

This evil didn't come as a surprise to our loving God, Who knows all. Oftentimes people blame God for their trials or evil that occurs, but God is sinless and didn't do this, man did. God gave man free will, and we suffer the consequences of sin.

Matthew 13:36-43 - "... his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;" And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear."

God was there, undoubtedly broken-hearted over the evil of that day. But He promised us He wouldn't leave us comfortless.

We are to love, pray and forgive our enemies, one of the hardest things to do. But we've read the end of The Book ... our enemy is destroyed and God's saved people WIN!

There are two beautiful songs today. As you watch and listen, remember the blessings you have been given. The people who lost their lives that sad day didn’t see it coming; they didn’t know they would soon be leaving this earth for eternity. Where will you spend eternity? Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
