We recently posted a message about talents and gifts. God has given Carrie Underwood a special ability to sing and she is using her gift to glorify God and others by joining with The Gaithers on today's song (and many more from the album), performed at the Ryman Auditorium.
“Input = Output”. The music we listen to has a subliminal effect on the brain. Just as what goes up comes down, what goes in comes out. Lyrics matter, words matter. True Christian music is heartwarming and brings joy to the soul … you can feel the difference when compared to secular music. Glorify God with your mind and your whole being, including music. We owe it all to Jesus = He gave His all for us. Song lyrics: “God sent His son, they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, an empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives! Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives! How sweet to hold a newborn baby and feel the pride and joy he brings; but greater still the calm assurance: this child can face uncertain days because He Lives! And then one day, I'll cross the river, I'll fight life's final war with pain; and then, as death gives way to victory, I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!” Romans 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 1:14 - “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 14:19 - “Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.” 1Timothy 2:3-4 – “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” John 3:3 - “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:6 - “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Romans 8:11 - “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
Because Jesus lives … spiritually … because of the resurrection, those who are born of the spirit will live forever. If you are not spiritually born before you die, you will not see the kingdom of God. Revelation 1:18 - “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
