If grace was a kingdom, I'd stop at the gate, thinking I don't deserve to pass through after all the mistakes that I've made. But Heaven whispers, "Child, don't you know that the first will be last and the last get a crown?" Now I'm just a beggar in the presence of a King; I wish I could bring so much more! But if it's true God uses broken things, then here I am Lord, I'm all Yours!
John 1:14,16-17 – “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Psalms 147:3 - “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Isaiah 43:1 - “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
The pages of history tell us that it's the ones with scars that God uses ... the rebels, the prodigals …so there's hope for sinners like me and you! Grace is a kingdom with gates open wide! There's a seat at the table just waiting for you, so come on inside!
