The Cross of Jesus symbolizes His atoning death. Our Saviour died for my sins and for the sins of the world. Colossians 1:14 - “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

The Cross of Jesus is a story of redemption. The symbol of the Cross is a powerful reminder of the price Jesus paid; and whether we wear it, display it, or simply think about it, the Cross should draw us nearer to The One who hung on it.

who gave this Bible to my Mama, who read it to me."

It's what you leave behind you when you go.In case you missed it, the fourth cross could have been the “hooker’s” but she survived and was saved by the blood of Jesus through the preacher’s dying words and the Bible he handed her. She went on to raise a son who would continue in the Lord’s work.
