Use Me

At any time God calls on the least of us to be used by Him. In this post the song 'I Am' captures three historical events in the Bible and discusses the reaction of those God called: Moses, David and Mary. With God’s divine presence, you too can fulfill any task given as He'll equip and enable you to succeed.

You can’t fail when God uses you. Why? God controls all things.

Throughout Biblical history, God has used people for special tasks, using those whom we may deem least likely to accomplish what seems impossible. You too may be called by God. Be confident, strong and bold when He calls you to be used in His service. You may have already experienced being called by God or you may soon be used by Him as in the following stories of Moses, David and Mary. If called would you ask God, “Why me? I’m frightened.” God would surely say,

"It's not your problem, because I can do anything. There's a bigger picture you can't see. You don't have to change the world just trust in Me 'cause I am your Creator, I am working out My plan And through you I will show them, I am ..."

  1. Moses led Israel out of Egypt: Exodus Chapter 3 Moses was an exile in a foreign country, a poor shepherd who accepted God’s call. He did this with courage and had no fear of what Pharaoh might do. Hebrews 11:27 "By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible." Moses thought, "God, I am weak. Don't You want someone strong to lead them out of Egypt when they've been there so long? And anyway they won't believe You ever spoke to me." Q: Could God use you to lead and comfort someone to a life free of sin and guilt ?

  2. David smote Goliath: 1 Samuel Chapter 17: 45-50 Verse 49, “And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.” As sung in the song ... "Now Lord, are You sure? He's just a shepherd boy. Too small for battle gear, with a giant to destroy. What on earth can he do with five stones and a sling?" King Saul thought Goliath, at more than 9-feet-in-height, was too big for anyone to fight ... yet, David, a slight shepherd boy, thought Goliath was too big to miss. In saying 'yes' to God, David prevailed. Q: Could God use you to help someone slay the demons of addiction and temptation?

  3. Mary birthed Jesus: Luke Chapter 1:26 God sent the angel Gabriel to tell Mary, a teenage peasant girl, she was going to have a baby, and was to call him Jesus. "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:" Q: Could God use you to lead someone to know Christ and be born again?

When you accept the blessing of serving God you must trust in knowing that He will ...

  1. ... prepare you,

  2. ... give you all you need to succeed,

  3. ... be with you throughout the ‘assignment’.
