What’s the Difference?

Jesus Christ is the Word. John 1:1 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” His name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13 - “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” He is holy (Acts 4:27) and the Scriptures are holy (Romans 1:2, 2Timothy 3:15).

If Jesus is the Word, why are there so many different ‘versions’ of the Bible? Wouldn't that be like trying to change Jesus? His Word is already settled in heaven! So which 'Bible' is God’s true Word?

“Questioning The Word of God came first with the serpent's skeptical query, "Yea, hath God said...?" (Gen.3). Questioning today's Holy Bible is just as rebellious as questioning ones gender. God did it right the first time. A man-made makeover brings ‘confusion’ and defaces and mutilates God's creation. Only pride and perversion would propel men to presume that they could improve upon God's own handiwork.” ~G.A.Riplinger

“Jesus was likened to a “King” who gave us a “better testament.” The King James Bible is a “better testament.” Its longevity is a portrait of the “unchangeable” and “endless life” of Jesus Christ. Jesus is also called “undefiled, separate from sinners” (Heb. 7). His “holy scriptures” must likewise be “separate from sinners.” Their “pure words” will not be polluted by worldly use. They will remain “separate.”

“The vocabulary of the King James Bible was not common, even in the 1500s. In the 1800s Archbishop Trench said, “It is good that the phraseology of Scripture should not be exactly that of our common life;...just as there is a sense of fitness which dictates that the architecture of a church should be different from that of a house. The style of a building identifies what’s inside. An architect would never design a church that looked like a bar.”

“The world shies away from the KJB’s “wholesome words” and “pure language” qualities (Zeph. 3:9)”. “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud...” 1Timothy 6:3,4

“Why must God use “separate,” “wholesome,” and “undefiled” words? Why can’t he use ‘common everyday language’? Just as pollution and pollen are inhaled with every breath of good air, so the words the world uses go into the mind, along with all of the filth surrounding them. They are stored in the memory. When that word is read again, the file containing that word pops to the forefront of the mind, hand-in-hand with all the pollution it has been partnered with.”

God is NOT the author of confusion (1Corinthians 14:33). Satan has polluted God’s Word to cause division and confusion. He doesn’t make mistakes or need man’s help to say what He wants to say. He warns against changes and says a time will come when sound doctrine is ignored. Take heed!

There are those who say the KJB is ‘hard to understand.’ Study to shew thyself approved. It is the Holy Spirit that teaches us. Computer analyses show KJB’s reading level as Grade 5, while modern versions are Grades 6-8. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you.
