Forty in the blink of an eye … got me staring up at the star-filled sky and reflecting on my life. Seems a little crazy to say, but I'm thankful everything didn't go my way because every time I thought I knew what I was looking for, Jesus came and showed me something that I'd never seen before. Now I see God’s fingerprints on everything! No worries about what tomorrow's gonna bring because I know that everything God does is even better than my wildest dreams!
James 4:13-15 – “... ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.” Psalms 90:12 - “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Proverbs 16:9 - “A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” 1Timothy 1:14 – “And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ” Ephesians 3:19-21 – “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
I’ve had my share of bumps in the road but I'm learning to fly as the story unfolds. Every single turn of the page is a beautiful reminder that Jesus is setting the stage. Looking back, it's easy to see how He lit up my path every step of the way. I'm so thankful that I can trust where He leads. He is so, so good to me … so much better than my wildest dreams!
Friend, life is short. Make amends, right your wrongs. Forgive and ask for forgiveness. Live to the fullest, always putting God first. The Almighty put us here to make a difference … for His kingdom. Are you living out God’s purpose in your life? It is never too late to start … the retirement benefits are out of this world … beyond our wildest dreams!
