When you have “one of those days”, remember God has told us we’ll experience suffering and anguish in this life but if we ask Him, He will provide strength and calm our fears. When satan casts his fiery darts, stay focused on Jesus and He will provide a peace that is beyond human understanding. Today’s song is about finding The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 - “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given ... and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” John 14:27 - “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Isaiah 26:3 - “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Philippians 4:7 - “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Colossians 3:15a - “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts …” John 16:33 - “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
‘Come near to me, Jesus. Don't let me go! There’s no other help I know. Come fight for me because You make the darkness flee. I know I can do anything as You strengthen me, Jesus. When the enemy tries to come for me, I will not fear. I find all of my joy in You, all of my peace in You, Jesus. You are my anchor, so when the enemy lies to me I will believe the truth You’ve given me. I find my peace in You.
When I look around and everything's crazy, You are still God, that's never changing. In the midst of my fear and indecision, You are my focus, You are still God! You’re the only One with the power to save, the only One I call. Lord Jesus, I find my peace in You.’
