I See You

Look around you … what do you see? sunlight, moonlight? family, friends, co-workers? cars, stars, house, coffeehouse …whatever you see, it came from God. The very eyes you see with came from God! Everyone and every thing comes from God. We own nothing; we are simply stewards of what He has given us. We can’t take it with us … it is ultimately all God’s. He is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful) and omni-present (present in all places at all times). Look again. Do you see Him? Psalms 24:1 - “... The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” James 1:17 - “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Psalms 50:10 - “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.” John 1:3 - “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Matthew 6:19-21 – “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Lamentations 3:23b – “… great is thy faithfulness.” Matthew 5:8 - “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Song Lyrics: "God of Love, God of all glory, every day I see new mercy. Great is Your faithfulness! God of Love, God of my story, You never fail, You never forsake me. I see You in the morning light, I feel You in the fire by night. I hear You say, "Child, I am with you. Everything will be alright." I see You in the tears that run, I feel You when the healing comes. I hear You say, "Beloved one, I am with you." Every moment of my life, I see You. God of Love, God of new vision, every blessing You have given. Great is Your faithfulness! I will worship through the storm, all my hope is in You, Lord. Every moment of my life, I see You.

Ask God to open the eyes of your heart so you can see Him clearly ... while you watch and listen (in addition to today’s song) to Christopher Duffley, a then 10-year-old blind, autistic boy, sing. Read Christopher's encouraging story here
