I wiLL fEaR NO mOrE

The word “fear” appears in the Bible 385 times; the word “afraid” appears 189 times. God knows there will be situations in which we might feel afraid, and He tells us many times in His Word to not be afraid because He is with us. If we put our faith and trust in Jesus as Saviour, we become His child. And just as earthly fathers instinctively protect their children, our Heavenly Father will protect us; He will hold us in His hands. If we truly have a “perfect love” for God, we will have a reverent fear for Him, acknowledging His power and strength, and need not fear anything or anyone else. For it is God's power and strength that will carry us through any situation.

Revelation 1:8 - “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Luke 12:5 - “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” 1John 4:18 - “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 2Timothy 1:7 - “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” John 16:33 - “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Isaiah 41:10 - “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Mark 12:32-33 – “And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Psalms 59:17 - “Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.” Song Lyrics: “Every anxious thought that steals my breath, it's a heavy weight upon my chest. As I lie awake and wonder what the future will hold, help me to remember that You're in control. You're my courage when I worry in the dead of night, You're my strength 'cause I'm not strong enough to win this fight. You are greater than the battle raging in my mind. I will trust You, Lord, I will fear no more! I will lift my eyes, I will lift my cares; lay them in Your hands, I'll leave them there. When the wind and waves are coming, You shelter me. Even though I'm in the storm, the storm is not in me. No power can come against me 'cause You have overcome! No darkness can overwhelm me 'cause You've already won! I will trust You, Lord. I will fear no more!”
