Christian music in America varies in style. While some people enjoy an old, beautiful hymn, others prefer more contemporary or soulful music with a good beat; still others prefer Southern gospel or bluesy-type praise. Whatever the style, the lyrics should express our Love of Jesus and faith in God and His Holy Word … that’s what matters. Singing to the Lord can be a great encouragement in a believer’s spiritual walk. We won’t all agree on or like the same style, but praise isn’t about us, it’s about Jesus! That’s why God created music … so we could praise Him! He didn't give everyone a beautiful voice, but our heartfelt praise is what's beautiful to Him.
