Today’s song is about “getting where I’m going”. From the songwriters’ perspective, they are going to heaven when they die. The Bible is clear, there are two choices of where a person goes when they die: heaven or hell. One day, every knee will bow to Almighty God and your life will be judged according to His Word. Whether you believe it or not doesn’t change the fact that God’s Word is true. Not everyone will go to heaven. So the question of the day is, “Where will you spend eternity?” The Bible says you can know where you’re going and tells you exactly how to get there. But there is only one way … and straight and narrow is the path to Jesus . Think you’ve been too bad to go to heaven? Impossible. Jesus died for “whosoever” … anyone can spend eternity with Him.
Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 8:1 - “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:18 - “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

We are born sinners and will die in our sin and go to hell unless we are saved by the blood of Jesus. Where you spend eternity is a decision you must make before leaving earth. Choose Jesus!
